CIMSPA are signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant.
This means we have joined the promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
It is a pledge to support serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, and their families and is based on two principles:
- Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services.
- Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.
We are also Bronze Award holders from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
This means that we pledge:
- to support the armed forces, including existing or prospective employees who are members of the community
- to promote being armed forced-friendly and are open to employing reservists, armed forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), cadet instructors and military spouses or partners.
